Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burns uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Moraes has time to react.

Moraes closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Burns quickly recovers to half guard.

Moraes is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Burns doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Moraes.

Moraes looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Moraes is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Burns is trying is best to control the position here.
Moraes tries to pass the half guard into mount. Burns knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Burns wants to get back to full guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Moraes is working for a kimura but Burns is defending it quite comfortably.

Moraes is working for a submission of some sort.

Burns makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Moraes will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Burns has managed to clinch.
Burns connects with a nasty looking knee right to Moraes's face.
Moraes misses with a shot to the kidneys.
A short left from Burns.
Burns goes for a takedown in the clinch but Moraes prevents it.
Burns lands a shoulder strike.
Moraes takes a shot to the head.
Burns lands with a right to the head.
Burns lands a big right hand that drops Moraes! The killer instinct kicks in and Burns finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Burns!
