PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Damien Redman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eddy Edwards (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Redman comes to the ring accompanied by Put Your Lights On . Eddy Edwards told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Damien Redman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eddy Edwards!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Konstantin Menshow and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Redman looks to score with a jab to the body but Edwards is just out of range.

Edwards fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Redman looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Redman wants to clinch but Edwards slips to the side

Edwards closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Redman quickly recovers to half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Edwards is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Redman is just riding it out for now. Edwards eventually gives up the hold.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

I think Edwards has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Eddy Edwards decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
