Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Sole Uce!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gray Wyatt!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Topper Green and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wyatt throws a leg kick but Uce sees it coming and moves out of range.
Wyatt takes a swing at Uce's ribcage but misses.
Wyatt moves into the clinch.
Wyatt stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Wyatt is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Uce is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Wyatt manages to pull guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wyatt can do anything to dispel that myth.
Wyatt wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
Uce might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Wyatt controls Uce momentarily but Uce frees himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Uce wants to control from the top but Wyatt keeps moving.
Uce slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wyatt controls Uce momentarily but Uce frees himself.

Uce trying to control the position from guard on top but Wyatt is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Uce stands and steps away. Wyatt gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Wyatt.
Wyatt shoots in for a double leg but Uce sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Gray Wyatt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wyatt is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Uce.
Uce swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Wyatt shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Uce pinned against the cage. Uce gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Wyatt takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
It looks like Gray Wyatt has been cut.

Uce lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Wyatt circles away quickly and effectively.
Wyatt takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Wyatt shapes to counter with a head kick.
Uce throws a jab when Wyatt was well out of range.
Wyatt moves into the clinch.
Uce struggles to land a body shot inside as Wyatt controls his hands.
Wyatt throws a punch but it's blocked by Uce.
Uce throws a head punch that misses.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Wyatt manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Uce prevents the takedown attempt.
Sole Uce has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gray Wyatt.
Uce has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Wyatt's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Wyatt looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Wyatt throws a sloppy head kick and Uce moves out of range easily.
Wyatt throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Wyatt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Uce paws at him with a jab and circles away.

And Wyatt tries to counter it with a takedown but Uce pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Uce throws a nice looking combination but Wyatt bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Wyatt dodges the punch combination from Uce.
Wyatt throws a head kick that misses.
Wyatt clinches.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Uce blocks the elbow strike.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Uce has Wyatt pressed against the cage, preventing Wyatt from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Uce struggles to land a body shot inside as Wyatt controls his hands.
Wyatt breaks from the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Sole Uce will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Gray Wyatt's cut.

Uce fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wyatt manages to avoid it.
Uce swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Wyatt counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Wyatt on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Wyatt tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Uce just stands there and leans against the cage.
Uce doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Uce stalling.
Wyatt blocking some punches.
Uce can't find room to land a body shot as Wyatt controls the action.
Wyatt is trying to break the clinch but Uce is controlling him.
Wyatt's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wyatt has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Wyatt fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Uce to the ground. Wyatt is now in Uce's guard.

Uce wants to stand but Wyatt has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
A slow jab from Uce misses its intended target.

Wyatt blocks a low kick nicely.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Wyatt moves out of range as Uce strikes.
Wyatt is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Wyatt misses with a takedown attempt - Uce sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Uce moves into the clinch successfully.
Wyatt jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Uce walks away with a smile on his face. Wyatt gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Wyatt lands a nice hook to Uce's body. Uce takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

and Uce connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Uce tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sole Uce dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Gray Wyatt's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Wyatt fails with a takedown attempt.
Wyatt tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Uce paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A clash of legs there as Wyatt blocks the low kick.
Uce misses with a looping left.
Uce slaps away a takedown attempt from Wyatt, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Uce fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

and Uce counters with a lovely shot to the body.

and Uce counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Wyatt thinking.

and Uce counters with a nice right hand that sends Wyatt toppling to the canvas! Wyatt scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Uce finish him?!

Wyatt takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Uce misses with a series of wild punches.
Wyatt is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Uce doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Wyatt crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Wyatt's bad books for that mishap!
