Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zander McGuire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julio Madrigal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGuire's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Hall of Fame ft. will.i.am. Madrigal has chosen Lil Jon-Throw it Up as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Madrigal has a takedown stuffed.
Madrigal has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Madrigal misses with an uppercut. McGuire saw that one coming.
Madrigal looks for a takedown but McGuire sprawls well.

Zander McGuire has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Julio Madrigal.
Madrigal changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. McGuire tries to avoid it but Madrigal manages to keep hold of a leg and drag McGuire to the ground. McGuire escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
McGuire does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Madrigal tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McGuire swivels and escapes.

McGuire fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Madrigal has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.

McGuire lands a big head kick that sends Madrigal tumbling to the mat! McGuire takes a step backwards and waves Madrigal back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Julio Madrigal has been cut.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Julio Madrigal spoke after the fight, saying 'Props to him, he beat me fair and square this time. I will go back to the gym and get better, I'm going to win my belt back.'.
