Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Frank Damozzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 10 - 3, fighting out of London, Frank Damozzi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, William King!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Richard Clark and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
King looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Damozzi finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
King fails with the takedown.
King fakes the leg kick and cracks Damozzi in the body.
A thudding body kick lands there by King!
King looks for the body kick but Damozzi saw that one coming.
King wants to land a leg kick but Damozzi is out of range.
William King seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King loads up on a big right hand but Damozzi slips the punch.
Damozzi definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Damozzi closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. King quickly recovers to half guard.
King wants to improve his position but Damozzi is controlling well.

Damozzi is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. King doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Damozzi.

Damozzi takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

King had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Damozzi defends it easily.

King is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Damozzi has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Damozzi is working King over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

King controls Damozzi momentarily but Damozzi frees himself.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
King wants to sweep but no luck.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
King controls Damozzi momentarily but Damozzi frees himself.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Damozzi connects with the punch.
Damozzi shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
King keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
King looks like he wants to counter punch here.
King throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Damozzi goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Damozzi looks to throw the jab but King is out of range.
King throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Damozzi.
King lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
King pivots, looking for a leg kick but Damozzi is out of range and King settles back down.
Damozzi slips a jab and a cross from King.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Damozzi.
Damozzi lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Frank Damozzi will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


King tries to land a front kick but Damozzi steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Damozzi connects with a solid leg kick.
A looping hook to the body misses from King. Damozzi does a little dance to reset his feet.
Damozzi throws a chopping leg kick but King manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Damozzi throws the kick towards the body but King avoids it.
As Damozzi backs off King throws a huge counter combo but Damozzi manages to avoid it all.
William King seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Damozzi throws a hook but King blocks it.
A good leg kick by King.
Damozzi wants to clinch.
Damozzi shoots in for a takedown but King shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
King leaves Damozzi with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from King.
King avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Damozzi defending well as King loads up on a big left hand.

Damozzi uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from King.
King looks to land a body kick but Damozzi moved away.
King lands a body shot.

Nice body punch from King.
Damozzi darts in looking for a takedown but King gets double underhooks and turns Damozzi into the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Frank Damozzi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
King takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Damozzi has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from King.
Damozzi tries a low kick but King avoids it.
King slips a straight right by Damozzi.
King drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Damozzi defends it well.

King throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Damozzi stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
King throws a leg kick but Damozzi sees it coming and checks it nicely.
King just misses with a punch to the body.
King scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
King takes one on the button.
King tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Damozzi defends well and King ends up having to push Damozzi into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
King tries to score a power double leg takedown but Damozzi sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten King somewhat.
Damozzi tries a low kick but King avoids it.

King takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
King is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Damozzi rather than just go for the knockout.

Damozzi pushes King back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.

King breaks from the clinch.

Damozzi changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. King looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Frank Damozzi overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Damozzi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by King, who protects the arm well.
Damozzi lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear King down.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Frank Damozzi dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Damozzi throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

King takes a swing at Damozzi's ribcage but misses.
King lands with a nice body kick.
King checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Damozzi is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

King throws a body shot but no joy.
Damozzi throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

The fighters circle momentarily. Damozzi darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
King looks to land a right hand but Damozzi moved out of range.

Damozzi cracks King with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
King throws a body shot but no joy.

King uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

King manages to work his way to half guard, despite Damozzi's best efforts.
King blocking the ground and pound attempt from Damozzi.
This has been an exciting period of action!
King tries to roll over but Damozzi keeps him under control.

Damozzi lands an elbow.
Damozzi scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at King to see if he's OK.
Damozzi is trying to ground and pound but King uses the momentary lack of control by Damozzi to regain half guard.
King is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Damozzi's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Damozzi's back!
William King has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Damozzi wants to escape the position.
King lands a couple of good shots to his opponent's body and a final shot to the head. Good little attack there by King.

King working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.
King has the hooks in. Damozzi is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Damozzi wants to control his opponent's hands but King gets his hands free.
Damozzi tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee warns Damozzi that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
King softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and Damozzi is out cold! King jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). William King!
