PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Benito Camelo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Benito Camelo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Antonio Souza!
The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Luis Engracia and Leandro Rodrigues.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Camelo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Camelo has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Antonio Souza dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Souza feints and as Camelo raises his hands in defense, Souza changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Camelo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Souza has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Camelo has managed to get both his arms back between Souza's legs - danger averted.

Souza has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Camelo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Camelo has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Souza to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Camelo is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Souza pulls down on the head and he's put Camelo to sleep! This one is all over!
