The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Snead clinches up against the cage.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Snead breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Snead fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kivipelto.
Kivipelto tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Snead was well out of range. Poor timing from Kivipelto.

Snead has taken the fight to the clinch.

Kivipelto jumps guard but Snead turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Sam Snead has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kalle Kivipelto.

Snead has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Kivipelto has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Snead seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Kivipelto can turn it around.

Snead sends Kivipelto crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Snead is motioning to the referee to let Kivipelto up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Kivipelto glances at the clock... BAM! Snead nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Kivipelto crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Kivipelto is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
