Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Freddy Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hans Gruber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Freddy Lee has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Freddy Lee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hans Gruber!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Paul Gruel and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gruber moves in looking to clinch but Lee pushes him off.
Lee fails with a takedown attempt.
Gruber tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Lee shoots for a double leg takedown but Gruber sprawls well. He's pushed Lee's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Gruber has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Lee is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Lee is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've been hearing good reports from Lee's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Well Gruber has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
