PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between De Janeiro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Moka Moka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moka cracks a nice hook into Janeiro's ribs.

Janeiro moves out of range as Moka strikes.
Moka throws out a powerful jab.
Moka fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Janeiro gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Janeiro not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Janeiro seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Moka cracks Janeiro with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Janeiro takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Janeiro gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Moka.

Janeiro is rocked!
Janeiro drops his hands momentarily. Moka doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Janeiro staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Janeiro doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Moka Moka!
Moka Moka decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
