PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Uppertaker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bruno Kolkka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Uppertaker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Bruno Kolkka!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kolkka on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Uppertaker tries to clinch up but Kolkka circles away and keeps his distance.
Kolkka shoots in but no luck this time.

Uppertaker gets tackled into the cage by Kolkka. Kolkka maintains the clinch.
Kolkka tries to pull guard but Uppertaker holds him up against the cage and eventually Kolkka drops back down to his feet.
Uppertaker wants to get back to striking at distance but Kolkka won't allow it.
Kolkka keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Uppertaker's efforts to push away.
Kolkka is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Uppertaker pulls him back up using the underhooks.
The Uppertaker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bruno Kolkka.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Uppertaker here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Uppertaker has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that The Uppertaker will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Kolkka lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Uppertaker circles away quickly and effectively.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Uppertaker, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
