Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Willie Sampson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mike Bell will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Bell!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bell feints and as Sampson raises his hands in defense, Bell changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Sampson keeping moving, preventing Bell from controlling successfully.
Sampson looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Bell stands up over Sampson, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sampson is on top in guard.

Sampson working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Bell's head.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Sampson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Bell swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

It looks like Willie Sampson has been cut.

Bell lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sampson wants to improve his position but Bell is controlling well.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Sampson is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bell's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bell's back!
Bell tries to roll but Sampson sticks to his back.

A bit of a pause in the action here. Sampson controlling the positon.
Sampson is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Sampson gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Sampson gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Sampson apologises and we restart here on the feet.

Bell closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bell lands in his opponent's guard.

Sampson lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Sampson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Sampson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Bell shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Sampson tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Bell manages to circle out of the way.
Mike Bell is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
