Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between JJ Bush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jose Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, JJ Bush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jose Aldo!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Lou da Vinci and David Schapiro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bush tries for a takedown but Aldo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Aldo throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Aldo's coach down at Elite Strikers was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Aldo's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Aldo will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Aldo throws a big shot that misses.
Aldo works over Bush's head and body with a nice combination.
Bush takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Aldo misses with the combination.
Aldo jabs Bush right on the nose. Bush blinks but takes it well.
Aldo will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Aldo misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Aldo gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bush to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Aldo has Bush pulled in close to control his posture.
Bush postures up.
Bush cracks Aldo with a solid left hand.
Bush wants to control from the top but Aldo keeps moving.
Bush is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Bush scoring with punches to the head and body.
Bush is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Bush lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Aldo is trying to control the position but Bush postures up.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Aldo can do anything to dispel that myth.

Aldo utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Bush slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
A telegraphed right hand from Aldo misses the target.
Aldo throws a leg kick

and Bush counters with a single leg into guard. Aldo didn't expect that.
Bush's corner is telling him to maintain position.

Aldo wants to control the position but Bush says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.
Aldo is controlling Bush's position as best he can from this difficult position.
Bush winds up and cracks Aldo with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Bush has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Bush is thwarting Aldo's attempts to control the position.

Bush wants to take a breather but Aldo is having none of it.
Aldo wants to get back to full guard.
Bush landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Bush controlling the action here.
Bush looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Aldo is rocked!
Aldo has hold of Bush's hands but Bush slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Aldo is still in real trouble! Can Bush finish him?
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bush is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Bush is thwarting Aldo's attempts to control the position.
Bush lands a big elbow - Aldo is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Bush!
