Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ji Lu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bull Hurley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hurley lands a leg kick that knocks Lu off balance momentarily.
A big right from Hurley misses.
Lu lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Bull Hurley seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hurley lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lu circles away quickly and effectively.
Hurley has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Lu is landing a low percentage of strikes.
A bone on bone clash there as Lu blocks the leg kick.
Lu checks a low kick from Hurley.
Lu half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Hurley throws a sloppy head kick
and Lu finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Lu doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Hurley takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Hurley throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Lu sees it coming and avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lu chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Hurley can pounce on him.
Hurley misses with a lunging right hand
and Lu connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Lu looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Lu tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hurley was well out of range. Poor timing from Lu.

Lu fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
A nice leg kick lands there from Lu.
Lu lands a slapping body shot.
Lu is looking to slow Hurley down with leg kicks.
Hurley throws a poor cross that misses
and Lu counters with a nice body kick.
A punch combination from Lu misses.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lu lands a brutal uppercut that launches Hurley off his feet! Hurley tumbles to the floor, barely conscious - the referee jumps in to save him from a beating! Wow, what an ending!
