Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bee Jay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 5 - 1, fighting out of London, Grey Worm!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jay clinches up with Worm and pushes him back against the cage.
I was talking to Jay's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Worm can't break the clinch.
Worm tightens his grip and picks Jay up, before dumping him to the ground. Jay manages to land in guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Jay is on top in guard.
Jay wants to pass the guard but Worm is keeping the position.
Jay trying to control the position from guard on top but Worm is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Worm has his hands on Jay's head, controlling the position.
Jay trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Jay controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Jay got a little sloppy there for a moment and Worm has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Jay has managed to get both his arms back between Worm's legs - danger averted.
Jay is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jay seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Worm for as long as he can get away with.
Worm is pulling down on Jay's head to control his posture.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Jay is stalling in the full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Danga de danga de dang - Worm scores with a four punch combination!

Worm changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jay looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Jay is looking to regain half guard here but Worm keeps moving and retains side control.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
You can see the frustration on Jay's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Jay regains half guard.
Jay slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Worm content to stall in guard here.

Worm wants to stand but Jay is controlling his posture from full guard.
Jay has his feet on Worm's thighs here. He's pushed Worm off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Worm screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Bee Jay decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
