Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Clawnes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Slayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Clawnes comes to the cage accompanied by My name is MUD. Slayer has chosen MESHUGGAH - Bleed as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Thomas Clawnes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank Slayer!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Saam Ante and Albert Achterberg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clawnes throws a nice outside leg kick.
Slayer swats away the attempt to clinch by Clawnes.
The fight stays on the outside here - Clawnes looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Thomas Clawnes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Slayer displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Clawnes throws out the jab.
Clawnes sets himself, and Slayer steps forward looking for the clinch! Clawnes avoids it this time.
Clawnes throws a series of punches but Slayer avoids them all with ease.
Slayer pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Clawnes back to the cage. Slayer follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.


It looks like Thomas Clawnes has been cut.
Slayer feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Clawnes's calf.
Clawnes keeps the fight on the outside.

Clawnes throws a nice looking combination but Slayer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Slayer throws out a counter right but Clawnes avoids it with no problem.

Clawnes lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Slayer circles away quickly and effectively.

Clawnes has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Clawnes there as he acknowledges the shot.
Clawnes tries to close the distance and clinch but Slayer swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Clawnes throws a leg kick but Slayer moved away.

Slayer swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

Slayer moves out of range of the body kick.
Clawnes throws a series of punches but Slayer avoids them all with ease.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Slayer walks forward, straight into a front kick from Clawnes.
Clawnes connects with a solid leg kick.

and Slayer cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Still in the clinch, Slayer scores with a nice short uppercut.
Slayer blocks the elbow strike.
Slayer is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Slayer lands a good knee to the midsection. Clawnes won't want to take too many of those.
Slayer lands an uppercut.
Clawnes misses with an elbow strike.
Slayer lands a right hand.
Slayer using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Clawnes has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Slayer lands a hook that snaps the head of Clawnes backwards.

Slayer lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Clawnes backwards.

Slayer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Clawnes is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Clawnes takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Clawnes throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Slayer.
Clawnes takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Clawnes throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Slayer counters with a stiff jab, followed by a cross and an uppercut! That's too much punishment for Clawnes to take - he tumbles to the canvas, blood pouring from his nose, barely conscious. That's the end of the fight! Great knockout by Slayer!
