The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eirikson misses with a straight right.
Kivipelto connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Eirikson momentarily.
Kivipelto throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
It looked like Eirikson was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Kivipelto.

Eirikson is looking to counter with a shot to the body.
Kivipelto thows a left - swing and a miss!
It looked like Eirikson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Kivipelto throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Kivipelto shoots in for a takedown but Eirikson shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

A quick step to the side and Eirikson tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Leif Eirikson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kalle Kivipelto.
Kivipelto connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Kivipelto tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Eirikson defends well and Kivipelto ends up having to push Eirikson into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Kivipelto changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Eirikson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Eirikson is trying to get back to his feet.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Kivipelto working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
