Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Earnest Abe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Rogers (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Abe comes to the cage accompanied by Uncle Sam Goddamn. Earnest Abe has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Earnest Abe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 43 - 0, fighting out of New York, Steve Rogers!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rogers moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Rogers fails with a takedown attempt.
Rogers misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Abe clinches with his opponent.
Rogers is looking to break free of the clinch but Abe has double underhooks.
Rogers has Abe pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Abe manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Earnest Abe has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Rogers.
Abe is leaning against Rogers and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Abe is trying to stall.
Abe content to slow the pace in the clinch.
Rogers tries to score a body lock takedown but Abe shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Abe lands a shot to the body.
Rogers looks winded!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Rogers wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Abe leaning against his opponent.
Rogers has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Abe is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Abe lands a left hand.
Rogers is looking for a takedown.
Rogers looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Rogers has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Abe swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Abe is pushing Rogers up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.
Abe displaying some good clinch control by pressing Rogers up against the cage.
Abe gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.
Abe gets through Rogers's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Abe prevents a takedown attempt there.
Rogers tries to break free but Abe pushes him back against the cage.

Rogers's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rogers throws a low kick but Abe avoids it.
Rogers circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rogers throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Abe clinches.
Rogers is looking for a takedown.
Rogers is trying to drag Abe to the mat but Abe just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Rogers is trying to push Abe away but Abe has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Abe taking a breather.
Abe prevents Rogers from breaking the clinch.
Abe stops a takedown attempt from Rogers.
Rogers tries to score a body lock takedown but Abe shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Rogers takes a shot to the head.
Rogers wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Abe has him pressed against the cage.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Abe.
Abe stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Abe creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Rogers's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Rogers drops to his knees and Abe pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Earnest Abe!
Earnest Abe decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
