Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mark Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spar McBot (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Wilson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Spar McBot!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Tiny Johnson and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wilson scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
McBot manages to get back to half guard.

Wilson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
McBot is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

McBot is nestled in close to Wilson, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee warns Wilson that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

McBot is working for a guillotine from mount but Wilson frees his head quite easily.

Wilson bucks McBot off and manages to get back to his feet!

McBot tests Wilson's chin there with a solid looking shot.

McBot lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Wilson gets tackled into the cage by McBot. McBot maintains the clinch.

McBot digs a right hand underneath Wilson's ribcage. Wilson let out a lung full of air as it connected.
Wilson is trying to drag McBot to the mat but McBot just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
I was talking to Wilson's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Wilson is breathing heavily.
Wilson wants a takedown.

McBot has Wilson pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. McBot pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Wilson tumbling to the mat - McBot dives into Wilson's guard.
McBot has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
McBot postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.

McBot drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McBot jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Wilson is wriggling around but McBot manages to pass to half guard.

McBot seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Wilson knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McBot on the ground.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

McBot lands strikes from half guard.
McBot works his foot free and advances to mount.
McBot drops a big elbow. That's hurt Wilson! More shots from McBot and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
