The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jager goes for a double leg but Gonawyn avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Gonawyn continues to drive forward.

Jager shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Gonawyn napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Gonawyn manages to get back to half guard.
Jager wants to pass the guard but Gonawyn is defending well.
Jager is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Gonawyn reverses the position - he's now on top in Jager's guard.
Gonawyn advances to half guard.

Jager on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Jager tries to get out of the position.

Gonawyn looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Jager tries to roll over but Gonawyn keeps him under control.
Jager pushes Gonawyn off looking to stand but Gonawyn dives back in and keeps control.
Gonawyn slips a nice elbow through Jager's hands, connecting with Jager's forehead.
Jager is in trouble now - Gonawyn has advanced to mount!

Gonawyn is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Gonawyn!
