Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladislav Maslow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dom Diego (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maslow comes to the cage accompanied by Werewolves Of London. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

16 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Dom Diego!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Colin Fray and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maslow walks into a jab.
Maslow throws a leg kick
and Diego counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Maslow is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.
Maslow is trying to get back to full guard.
Maslow is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Abobomination Training $800 13 LEGIT elite coaches, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Diego thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Maslow's head.
Diego has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Canadian Elite Bruins Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Maslow wants to improve his position but Diego is controlling well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Maslow had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Diego defends it easily.

Diego is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Maslow's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Maslow's back!

Diego is persistently looking for the submission but Maslow is defending it well.
Maslow tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Diego is just content to waste time from the top position. Maslow takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Maslow is staying tight to Diego's torso, preventing him from escaping.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
A solid body kick from Maslow.
Diego tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Maslow defends well and Diego ends up having to push Maslow into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
As Diego backs away, Maslow returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.

A punch lands to the side of Maslow 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Diego moves out of range of the body kick.
Maslow throws a sloppy head kick and Diego moves out of range easily.

Diego looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Maslow is fending him off so far but Diego persists. Nope, Maslow circles away and we're back to standing.
Diego avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Maslow scores with a slapping inside leg kick.

An attempted straight right counter from Maslow misses the target.

Diego ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Sloppy strikes from Diego. Those never looked like landing.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Maslow.

Diego scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Diego has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Maslow.
Diego shoots in but no luck this time.
Vladislav Maslow has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dom Diego.

Vladislav Maslow is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Maslow tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Maslow tries to work over Diego's front leg with a kick but Diego checks it.

and Diego counters with a shoot takedown. Maslow fights it but they end up in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Maslow is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Diego defends well.

Diego throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Maslow works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Maslow is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Diego postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Diego manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Maslow manages to get himself to full guard.
Maslow trying to keep a closed guard but Diego is proving a slippery customer.
Maslow will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Diego is fighting to break Maslow's control of his arms but Maslow is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Diego got a little sloppy there for a moment and Maslow has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Diego has managed to get both his arms back between Maslow's legs - danger averted.

Maslow has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Diego is working away from the top position though.

Maslow is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Diego keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

and Diego counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Diego is defended easily by Maslow.

Good leg kick by Maslow there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Maslow.
Diego throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

and Diego counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Maslow!
Diego wants to control but Maslow is keeping him busy.
Maslow gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Maslow is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Diego lands a nice short elbow.
Maslow moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Diego throws an elbow that misses. Maslow uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Diego's guard. Nice move by Maslow!

Diego is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Maslow frees his head nicely. Oh but Diego has switched to an armbar! Maslow is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
