The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Novicar lands a jab.
Novicar takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Mendoza throws out a loose jab but Novicar uses good head movement to avoid it.
Novicar bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Mendoza clobbers Novicar with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

A little feinted left hand from Mendoza on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Mendoza moves into range and connects with a jab.

Novicar has closed the distance and engaged Mendoza in a clinch.
