The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Paulo Santos and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Irwin looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Irwin working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Fuury wants to control but Irwin is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Fuury manages to get to full guard.
Fuury isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Irwin stacks Fuury on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Irwin!
Irwin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Fuury is trying to work for a sweep but Irwin has mounted him!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Irwin controlling the pace for now.

Fuury tries to hold on but Irwin pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Irwin scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Fuury?
Fuury tries to buck Irwin off so he can stand up but Irwin has got his back now - this could be big trouble! He's slapped on a rear naked choke that looks really tight! Fuury falls backwards, slamming Irwin to the mat but Irwin holds on tight! Fuury is forced to tap and this one is all over!
