The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fannigan throws a lazy uppercut
and Pilegr counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Fannigan lands with an overhand left.

It looks like Roos Pilegr has been cut.
Marcus Fannigan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pilegr connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Pilegr misses with a straight left.
Fannigan changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Pilegr connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Fannigan fails in his attempt to clinch.

Pilegr takes the fight into the clinch.
Fannigan prevents a body shot from Pilegr.

Fannigan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fannigan misses with a left hand
letting Pilegr counter with a right hand.
Fannigan is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pilegr.
Pilegr scores with a body shot.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pilegr closes the distance and clinches.

Fannigan breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Fannigan throws out a loose jab but Pilegr uses good head movement to avoid it.
Pilegr fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Fannigan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Fannigan looks winded!
Fannigan throws an ugly left hook that misses
enabling Pilegr to counter with a crisp jab.
Fannigan doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
