Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between The Crusher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, The Crusher!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rock Nelson!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crusher lands with an overhand left.
Nelson misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Crusher throws a big counter combination but Nelson scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Crusher stuffs the takedown attempt from Nelson. Nelson gets slowly back to his feet.
Crusher swings for the body but Nelson moves out of range.
Nelson with the counter takedown but Crusher avoids it easily.
Nelson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Crusher swivels and escapes.

Crusher has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Nelson shoots for a double leg takedown but Crusher sprawls well. He's pushed Nelson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Nelson shoots in looking for a takedown. Crusher tries to sprawl out of it but Nelson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Crusher manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

As Nelson looks to move away, Crusher throws a big counter combo but Nelson just gets out of the way.

Crusher lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Nelson circles away quickly and effectively.

The Crusher is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Crusher throws a right hand that Nelson ducks under and follows up with a left that Nelson also avoids with ease.
Nelson will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Crusher shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Nelson eats them both and turns towards Crusher to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Crusher is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Nelson takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards.
Nelson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Crusher tries to avoid it but Nelson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Crusher to the ground. Crusher escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Crusher scores with the left hand. Nelson knows he should have avoided that one.

It looks like Rock Nelson has been cut.
A slapping body kick lands there for Crusher.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Nelson is rocked!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nelson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Crusher tries to avoid it but Nelson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Crusher to the ground. Crusher escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Nelson is still on wobbly legs! Can Crusher finish him?

Nelson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Crusher was covering up waiting for the punch and Nelson finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Nelson seems to have recovered his senses.
Crusher wants to sweep but no luck.

Nelson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nelson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Crusher is looking for a triangle but Nelson pushes his legs off easily.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Crusher is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Crusher holds on and takes a little breather.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Nelson dives in and grabs Crusher's left leg, looking for a takedown. Crusher pushes down on Nelson's head and hops out.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Nelson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Crusher.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Nelson tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Crusher defends well and Nelson ends up having to push Crusher into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Crusher, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
