Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Where Yo Girl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Diaz comes to the cage accompanied by Boombastic (Mr Lover Lover) by Shaggy. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Where Yo Girl was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yo Girl misses with a looping left.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Diaz seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Yo Girl for as long as he can get away with.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Yo Girl can do anything to dispel that myth.
Diaz has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Diaz wants to work for an arm triangle but Yo Girl is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Diaz thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The referee asks Diaz politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Diaz prefers to stall for the moment though.
