The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dantes throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Dantes goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Kurtis feints the counter takedown.
Dantes misses with the combination.
Kurtis shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Dantes sprawls well. Dantes wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kurtis gets slowly back to his feet.
Kurtis takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Kurtis shoots in and bounces Dantes off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Kurtis got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dantes has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kurtis has managed to get both his arms back between Dantes's legs - danger averted.

Dantes is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kurtis defends well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kurtis lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Dantes is breathing heavily.
Kurtis is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
Dantes can't keep his opponent in guard - Kurtis advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Kurtis landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Kurtis is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Dantes is in a horrible position here. Kurtis smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Oh Dantes is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Dantes throws a strike off his back but Kurtis has locked in an arm triangle as a counter!! Dantes gives up his back to escape but now Kurtis has transitioned to a rear naked choke! That looks tight - Dantes has tapped out! This one is all over!
