Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Crowley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hussein Stahl (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Crowley!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Hussein Stahl!
The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Crowley misses with a head kick.
Stahl wants to clinch.
Crowley dives in for a single leg takedown but Stahl sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Stahl tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Crowley clinches up with Stahl and pushes him back against the cage.
Crowley swings away with an uppercut that misses.
With the fighters up against the cage, Crowley throws an elbow but misses.
Stahl tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Crowley definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Crowley misses with a shot to the kidneys.

Stahl has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Crowley uses from the top position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Stahl is trying to control the position but Crowley postures up.

Crowley swings wildly with an uppercut but Stahl uses good head movement to avoid it.

Stahl tries to score a body lock takedown but Crowley shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
John Crowley has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hussein Stahl.
Crowley misses with an elbow over the top.
Stahl wants to break free but Crowley has control.
Stahl blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Crowley tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Crowley is pressed up against the cage. Stahl has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Crowley down to the mat. Crowley avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Stahl has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. Crowley seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Stahl can turn it around.

Crowley prevents a takedown attempt there.
Stahl has Crowley pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Crowley manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Stahl displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Crowley.
Stahl tries to close the distance and clinch up but Crowley swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Crowley throws a series of punches but Stahl avoids them all with ease.
Stahl steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Crowley.

Crowley escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Crowley throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Stahl.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stahl is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.


Stahl seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Crowley is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
