PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Helix Cabrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akeen Coker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cabrera kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is It's showtime!. On his way into the cage it seems that Helix Cabrera has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Helix Cabrera seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cabrera lands a jab to the head.
Coker throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Nice body kick there by Cabrera.
Coker lands with an uppercut that bounces Cabrera off the cage and back into range.
Coker clobbers Cabrera with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
A left lands for Cabrera.
Coker looks to score with a jab to the body but Cabrera is just out of range.

Coker throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cabrera was covering up waiting for the punch and Coker finishes the takedown easily into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Cabrera is on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Coker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Cabrera seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Cabrera got a little sloppy there for a moment and Coker has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cabrera has managed to get both his arms back between Coker's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Coker manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Cabrera manages to get himself to full guard.

Cabrera has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Coker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Helix Cabrera.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cabrera, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
