Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ruban Kozlov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Kalaway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Ruban Kozlov has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ruban Kozlov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mark Kalaway!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Jonathan Paton and Anthony Taglia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kozlov jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.

and Kalaway counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Kalaway takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Kozlov moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Kozlov looks to land a left hand but Kalaway moved out of range nicely.
Kozlov lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
The crowd cheers as Kozlov lands an impressive looking overhand right. Kalaway doesn't seem phased though.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

It looks like Kozlov has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Kalaway might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Kozlov has got the better of the exchanges.

Kalaway shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Kozlov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kalaway can do to turn this around?
