Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Cid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Auguste Grimm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Grimm is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: David Gilmour - There's No Way Out Of Here. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 43 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Xavier Cid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 17 - 2, fighting out of New York, Auguste Grimm!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cid blocks a jab.
Cid looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Cid tries a head kick but it misses.

Cid rushes Grimm and presses him up against the cage.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Grimm looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Grimm throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Cids head.

Cid pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Grimm shoots for a double leg takedown but Cid sprawls well. He's pushed Grimm's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Cid tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Grimm manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Grimm had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Cid defends it easily.

Cid drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Cid jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Grimm fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cid looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Cid went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Cid got a little sloppy there for a moment and Grimm has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Cid has managed to get both his arms back between Grimm's legs - danger averted.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Grimm holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Grimm has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Cid is working away from the top position though.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

Cid moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

Grimm is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Cid defends it well.

Grimm seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Cid is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

After the fight, Auguste Grimm was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
