Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Rafael Misiek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Landen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Misiek comes into the arena with El Picante blaring out of the sound system. Paul Landen acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Landen!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Gwen Towbar.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Landen misses with a two punch combination.
Landen lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
No joy there for Misiek, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
The fight stays on the outside here - Misiek looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Misiek throws a sloppy head kick and Landen moves out of range easily.
Landen lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Misiek looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
A looping hook to the body misses from Misiek. Landen does a little dance to reset his feet.
Landen lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
A solid leg kick lands there for Landen.
Misiek ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Landen rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Misiek moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Misiek fails with a takedown attempt.
Landen lands with a thumping leg kick.
Landen lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Paul Landen seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Landen moves out of range as Misiek throws a body kick.
Landen lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Misiek misses with a double jab.
Despite the aggression on Landen's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Landen lands a high kick!
Landen blocks a jab.
Landen throws a counter combo.
Landen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Misiek darts in and clinches Landen up against the cage.

Landen breaks the clinch.
A slow jab from Landen misses its intended target.
Misiek loads up on a big right hand but Landen slips the punch.

Misiek forces Landen back against the cage and clinches.
Landen wants to break the clinch but can't.
With the two fighters working up against the cage, Misiek just misses with a elbow thrown towards Landen's brow.

Landen's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Misiek throws a low kick but it's checked well by Landen.

Landen clinches.
Landen blocks a body shot from Misiek.
Landen tries to break free but Misiek pushes him back against the cage.

Landen breaks from the clinch.
Landen lands a head kick. Misiek smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
We've been informed that Landen has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Misiek closes the distance and clinches.

Landen breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Landen throws a low kick but Misiek moves out of range easily.
Misiek throwing a counter right hand but Landen manages to avoid it.

Misiek lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

It looks like Paul Landen has been cut.
Landen on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Landen is looking to break free of the clinch but Misiek has double underhooks.
Misiek lands a nice elbow from the clinch.

Landen breaks the clinch.

Misiek lands a nice looking body shot.
Some bone on bone action there as Misiek checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Landen moves in looking to clinch but Misiek pushes him off.
Landen avoids the head kick by Misiek.
Misiek fails with a takedown attempt.
A combination from Landen does no damage.
Misiek misses with a left hand
and Landen counters with a three punch combo that has Misiek backing up. Misiek nods at Landen to acknowledge the strikes.
Misiek lands with a hook. Landen tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Oooooh!!! Landen has knocked Misiek down with a huge combo! Landen steps away and waves a wobbly Misiek back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Rafael Misiek has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Landen checks a leg kick nicely.
Misiek throws a push kick but Landen slaps the foot to one side.
Misiek thuds his right hand into Landen's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Landen is really turning it up, unleashing another crisp combination which drops Misiek like a ton of bricks! The referee dives in to stop the fight, saving Misiek from another fist facial!
