The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kluivert scores with a kick to the body.
Foote takes a swing at Kluivert's ribcage but misses.
Kluivert leaves Foote with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Kluivert connects with a leg kick. Foote looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
A slapping body kick lands there for Kluivert.
Kluivert throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Foote.

Foote tries to close the distance and clinch up but Kluivert swats him away and circles back towards the center.

and Foote counters with a shoot takedown. Kluivert fights it but they end up in guard.

Foote passes Kluivert's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Foote perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Foote tries to pass to full mount but Kluivert defends it.

Foote is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Foote is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Kluivert knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Foote is working to tighten his grip on Kluivert's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Kluivert has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Foote is really squeezing tight and eventually Kluivert passes out! Foote breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
