Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Leroy Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ediz Gulbahar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leroy Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ediz Gulbahar!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gulbahar misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gulbahar fails to land with a series of punches.
Brown avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Brown on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Brown takes a jab right on the kisser.
Brown throws a half hearted mid kick.
Gulbahar ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Brown looks to land a right hand but Gulbahar moved out of range.
Brown walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Gulbahar jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Gulbahar throws a shot to the body.
Brown misses with a left hand

so Gulbahar counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Brown wants to hit a switch here but Gulbahar passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Brown there!
Brown is trying desperately to improve position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gulbahar thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brown wants to hold on but Gulbahar pushes him away.
Gulbahar throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Brown knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gulbahar on the ground.
Brown holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Gulbahar tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Gulbahar tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gulbahar throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Brown because Gulbahar loaded up on that one.

Gulbahar tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Gulbahar has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Gulbahar unloads with some shots from mount but Brown bucks and avoids them well.

It looks like Gulbahar might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Brown is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Brown throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
enabling Gulbahar to counter with a crisp jab.
Gulbahar will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Gulbahar has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Gulbahar moves into range and connects with a jab.

Gulbahar fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Brown to the ground. Gulbahar is now in Brown's guard.
Brown can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Gulbahar controls the pace.
Gulbahar is in close to Brown's body, working some short punches and elbows.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gulbahar stays in close to Brown's body and controls the position.
Let's hope that Gulbahar has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Gulbahar.

Brown isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Gulbahar stacks Brown on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Gulbahar!

Brown on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Brown tries to get out of the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Ediz Gulbahar showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Brown's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Brown throws a chopping leg kick but Gulbahar manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Gulbahar connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Gulbahar scores with a jab to the body.
Gulbahar looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Brown throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Brown has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Gulbahar is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Gulbahar throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Brown stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Brown closes the distance and clinches.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gulbahar is trying to drag Brown to the mat but Brown just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Brown fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Brown swings wildly with an uppercut but Gulbahar uses good head movement to avoid it.
Brown misses with a hook from the clinch.
Brown is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Gulbahar stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Brown gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Gulbahar manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Brown manages to get himself to full guard.

Leroy Brown has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Yet more stalling tactics from Gulbahar.
Gulbahar's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Brown wants to sweep but Gulbahar has passed to side control!
Brown is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Ediz Gulbahar is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Gulbahar seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Ediz Gulbahar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Gulbahar winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
