The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from McPhail.
Perez walks into a left hand.
It looks like Salvador Perez has been cut.
Perez moves into the clinch successfully.
McPhail blocks the elbow strike.
Perez jumps guard but McPhail stands there with Perez around his waist. Perez gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Perez breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Perez tries to land a body kick
and McPhail counters with a stiff right hand.
McPhail lands a big right hand that sends Perez crashing to the mat! McPhail stays standing though and waves Perez back to his feet!
Perez is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Perez fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Perez is still on wobbly legs! Can McPhail finish him?
McPhail shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Perez takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - McPhail sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Perez bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!
