Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aurelio Rivera!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fred Ronson!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Rivera tries to clinch up but Ronson circles away and keeps his distance.
Rivera tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ronson paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ronson feints the counter takedown.
Ronson blocks a head kick by Rivera.
Ronson changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Rivera throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And Ronson tries to counter it with a takedown but Rivera pushes his down on his head and steps out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Rivera forces Ronson back against the cage and clinches.
Rivera wants a takedown.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Rivera gets control of Ronson's arms and successfully pulls guard. Rivera will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Ronson got a little sloppy there for a moment and Rivera has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ronson has managed to get both his arms back between Rivera's legs - danger averted.

Rivera seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Rivera pulls Ronson in close to prevent any damage.

Rivera working for submissions but it's allowed Ronson to get to half guard.
Ronson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rivera does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Rivera has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Ronson. Oh but Rivera has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Ronson goes limp - he's gone! Rivera jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
