The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wieneke shoots in but Karelin avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Wieneke shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Karelin pinned against the cage. Karelin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Karelin has a takedown stuffed.
Wieneke's coach down at Amstadam MMA traning center was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Wieneke's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Wieneke dives in for a single leg takedown but Karelin sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Jordan Karelin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marius Wieneke.
Karelin throws a head kick that misses.

Karelin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Wieneke sprawls well initially but Karelin persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Karelin passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Wieneke!
Karelin connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Wieneke tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Karelin connects with a bit shot that sees Wieneke covering up! More strikes from Karelin and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Karelin is our winner by TKO!
