Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jon Irenicus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Buzz Lightbeer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Irenicus comes into the arena with Shadows of Amn blaring out of the sound system. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloppy strikes from Irenicus. Those never looked like landing.
A big left from Irenicus misses.
Lightbeer throws a head kick that misses.
Irenicus takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Irenicus misses the jab.
Irenicus looks to land a combination but Lightbeer avoids it well.
Lightbeer misses with a straight right.
Irenicus half committed to a counter leg kick.
Lightbeer bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Irenicus's head.
Lightbeer slips a jab from Irenicus.
Lightbeer lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
It looks like Jon Irenicus has been cut.
Lightbeer throws an overhand right that lands on Irenicus's shoulder, as Irenicus tries to avoid the shot.
Irenicus takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Lightbeer lands with a straight right. Irenicus didn't see that one coming.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lightbeer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Lightbeer lands a big head kick that sends Irenicus to the canvas! Lightbeer follows up with strikes from the mount that forces the ref to step in and stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Buzz Lightbeer!
Buzz Lightbeer decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
