PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tupa Dufu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Morbolev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Dufu might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Rock You Like A Hurricane. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dufu misses with a few strikes there.
Dufu throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Morbolev takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Dufu looks to land a left hand but Morbolev moved out of range nicely.
Morbolev gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Dufu misses with a double jab.
Dufu with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Morbolev to score with a decent uppercut.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Morbolev looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Dufu lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Morbolev or not.
Dufu lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters circle momentarily. Dufu darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Morbolev takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Dufu throws a right hand that Morbolev ducks under and follows up with a left that Morbolev also avoids with ease.

Morbolev swings wildly with an uppercut but Dufu uses good head movement to avoid it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dufu lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Morbolev backwards.

Dufu tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Come on Morbolev - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.
Dufu lands a hook to the side of the head.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Dufu creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Dufu blocks a body shot from Morbolev.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Dufu.
Morbolev tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Dufu lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Morbolev's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Dufu dips a shoulder and cracks Morbolev with a mighty uppercut! Morbolev falls back against the cage and Dufu unloads with a barrage of strikes! Morbolev is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Dufu screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
