Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shun Watanabe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexander Johnson looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Chris Dean, Ben Hemmingworth and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Johnson is looking to clinch but Watanabe is avoiding it.
Johnson shoots in looking for a takedown. Watanabe tries to sprawl out of it but Johnson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Watanabe manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Johnson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Watanabe ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Watanabe throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Johnson's waist but Johnson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Watanabe off to one side.
Johnson has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Watanabe.
Watanabe comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Johnson needs to keep his hands up - Watanabe had a free shot at his head there.
Watanabe scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Watanabe bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Johnson's head backwards.

Watanabe fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Johnson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Johnson takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Watanabe comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Watanabe cracks a nice hook into Johnson's ribs.
Johnson seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Johnson takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Watanabe thuds his right hand into Johnson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Watanabe tries to land a leg kick but Johnson saw it coming and moves away.
Watanabe lands with a good body shot.

Oh Johnson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
BOOM! Watanabe lands a beautiful left hook that drops Johnson. Johnson tries to recover but Watanabe is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Johnson lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shun Watanabe!
In his post fight interview, Shun Watanabe started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
