Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Benito Acero!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Allan Coyoca!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Ben Watson and Skip Squint.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coyoca avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Coyoca feints the counter takedown.
Acero is looking to clinch.
Coyoca drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Acero defends it well.
Acero moves into the clinch.
Acero manages to break the clinch.
Acero tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Coyoca paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Acero lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Acero is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Acero wants to clinch but Coyoca slips to the side
and Coyoca counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Coyoca.
Coyoca is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
It looks like Benito Acero has been cut.
Acero definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Acero wants to stand and escape but Coyoca is having none of it.
Coyoca tries to free his leg and advance position but Acero is retaining full guard.
Coyoca is working Acero over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Coyoca makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Coyoca postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Coyoca with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Acero is rocked!
Coyoca lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Oh Acero is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Coyoca looking to pass the guard.
Coyoca working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Acero's head.
Coyoca postures up, still in guard. A huge hammer fist lands that bounces Acero's head off the mat! Acero is out! He's out! Coyoca jumps to his feet and celebrates with his corner!
