Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rian MacFarlane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Beast Putin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). MacFarlane comes to the cage accompanied by The Foggy Dew. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Putin works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
MacFarlane swings and misses with a hook to the body.

MacFarlane throws a hook to the side of Putin's head but Putin sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
We've been informed that Putin has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Putin scores with a jab. MacFarlane acknowledges it with a nod of the head.

Putin is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
MacFarlane is trying to hold Putin in close to prevent damage but Putin has managed to pass into half guard.

Putin seems to be working for a kimura but MacFarlane defends the submission attempt.

MacFarlane tries to close the distance and clinch but Putin swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

MacFarlane has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ.
