Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Maximus Meridius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Grzegorz Rundowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rundowski has chosen A$AP Rocky - Goldie as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meridius fails with the takedown
and Rundowski counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Rundowski has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Meridius fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Rundowski connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
No luck for Meridius with that takedown attempt.

Rundowski shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Meridius eats them both and turns towards Rundowski to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Rundowski scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.

Meridius bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Rundowski manages to work his way to half guard, despite Meridius's best efforts.

Meridius is nestled in close to Rundowski, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Rundowski gets in close and tags Meridius with a short punch that almost sends Meridius to the mat! Oh Meridius is in big trouble! He turns his back on Rundowski, trying to create some distance but Rundowski rushes him, striking wildly and Meridius goes down! The referee tackles Rundowski into the cage to end the fight! Rundowski is one violent man!
