Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Atkins and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Peralta is fending him off so far but Williams persists. Nope, Peralta circles away and we're back to standing.
Peralta is looking to counter punch.
Williams will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Williams blocks a head kick by Peralta.
Williams is looking to clinch but Peralta is avoiding it.
Peralta misses with a body kick.
Williams is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Nice takedown defense from Peralta. No joy for Williams on that attempt.
Philip Peralta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Darren Williams.

Williams clinches up against the cage.
Peralta scores with an uppercut up the middle.
Peralta has picked Williams up - he's going for a ride! Peralta dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Peralta slips a nice elbow through Williams's hands, connecting with Williams's forehead.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Peralta drops an elbow to the side of Williams's head.

Peralta takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Peralta working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Peralta prevents Williams from improving his position.
Williams looks winded!
Peralta lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Williams! More strikes land and this one is all over! Peralta jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!

In his post fight interview, Philip Peralta started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
