Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jermaine Barksdale (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Indigo Starseed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barksdale comes to the cage accompanied by Ain't No Sunshine- DMX. Starseed has chosen Bass Nectar- Take You Down as his entrance music. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Starseed blocks a head kick by Barksdale.

Barksdale lands a leg kick that knocks Starseed off balance momentarily.
Barksdale throws a head kick but Starseed moves out of range.

The fight stays on the outside here - Barksdale looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

We've been told by Barksdale's head coaches at V Elite Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Barksdale throws a right hand that Starseed ducks under and follows up with a left that Starseed also avoids with ease.
Starseed drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Barksdale defends it well.

Barksdale throws a lazy right hand but Starseed sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Starseed's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Barksdale connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Starseed scrambles back to his feet.
Starseed lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Barksdale rushes Starseed and presses him up against the cage.
Starseed digs a right hand into Barksdale's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Barksdale's gas tank.
Barksdale pushes off an throws an elbow but Starseed leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Starseed walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Barksdale sends Starseed crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Barksdale is motioning to the referee to let Starseed up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
