PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Fray Bentos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Edward Bravie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bentos comes to the cage accompanied by Pow. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bravie lands a right hook to the body.

and Bravie takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

It looks like Edward Bravie has been cut.

Bravie throws a leg kick but Bentos checks it.
Bravie takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Bentos lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Bravie circles away quickly and effectively.
The crowd cheers as Bravie lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bentos doesn't seem phased though.
Bentos scores with a crisp jab that stopped Bravie in his tracks.

Bentos avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bentos throws a looping overhand right but Bravie ducks down to avoid it.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Bravie has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Bravie throws the left hand but Bentos avoids the punch easily.
Bentos is looking to counter punch.
Bravie fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Bravie digs a good body shot into Bentos's ribs.
Bentos uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bravie.

Bravie feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Bentos sprawling to the canvas! Bentos rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Bravie finish him?!
Bravie changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Bentos is breathing heavily.

Bentos definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bravie cracks Bentos with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Bravie has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Bentos to stand back up!

Bentos is rocked!

Fray Bentos's cut is getting worse.
Bentos throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Oh Bentos is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Bravie ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Bentos seems to have got his legs back now.
Bravie ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
A solid leg kick lands there for Bravie.
Bravie pounces like a tiger and cracks Bentos with a vicious hook! Bentos is down but not out! Bravie follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

A very excited looking Edward Bravie rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
