The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A decent looking cross lands there for Miocic.
Cornelius changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.

Cornelius lands a really nice looking cross but Miocic seems unphased.
Miocic throws a sloppy head kick and Cornelius moves out of range easily.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Miocic throws a right and a left that Cornelius avoids nicely.

Cornelius bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Miocic connects with a leg kick. Cornelius looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Cornelius cracks Miocic with a good jab.
A left lands for Miocic.
Hortensius Cornelius seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd cheers as Cornelius lands an impressive looking overhand right. Miocic doesn't seem phased though.
Cornelius is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Miocic had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Cornelius jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Cornelius cracks Miocic with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

Miocic is rocked!
Cornelius fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Miocic square on the jaw! Damn, Miocic is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
