Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Boyd Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Borat Sagdiyev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Borat Sagdiyev is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Boyd Allen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Borat Sagdiyev!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Viktor Lagutenko and Igor Prikhodko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Allen throws a series of punches but Sagdiyev avoids them all with ease.
Allen throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sagdiyev checks the leg kick nicely there.
Sagdiyev is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Allen misses with a head kick.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Good body shot from Allen.
Sagdiyev throws a knee to the head but misses.
Allen lands on the inside with an uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sagdiyev is trying to pull guard but Allen turns him against the ropes and we stay in the clinch.
Allen breaks the clinch.
Allen throws a left and a right that both miss
and Sagdiyev counters with a nice double leg into side control. Allen won't be happy with that.
Allen tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Allen trying to get back to his feet but Sagdiyev is in full control for now.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Allen trying to control but he's just got himself in more trouble.
Sagdiyev is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Allen defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

You can see the frustration on Allen's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Sagdiyev thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
Allen trying to control but not successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sagdiyev is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Allen with him. Allen is trying to defend but Sagdiyev has an arm under the chin now! Allen grimaces and is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Borat Sagdiyev!
