Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Sun God Ra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kimo Ovaska (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ovaska has chosen Big Balls by AC/DC as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The Sun God Ra had a look across the ring there at his opponent. He definitely means business

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kimo Ovaska!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Valeri Chadov and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
An inside leg kick lands from Ovaska.
Ra misses the jab.
Ra shoots in and drives through. Ovaska sprawls well.
Ovaska gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Ra.

Ra tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Ovaska paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ovaska was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.

I was talking to Ra's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

That was a close round but I would say that The Sun God Ra will probably get the nod.

Ovaska cracks Ra with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Ovaska has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Ra to stand back up!

Ra swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Oh Ra is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

and Ovaska counters with a crisp right that sends Ra to the canvas! Ovaska follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!

During a confident post fight interview, Kimo Ovaska thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
