Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Randall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pascual Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perez has chosen Another One Bites The Dust as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jason Randall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 1, fighting out of New York, Pascual Perez!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perez closes the distance and clinches.
Perez tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Randall smiles and moves away.

Perez moves into the clinch.
Perez can't find room to land a body shot as Randall controls the action.
Randall is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Perez to keep the fight standing.
Perez throws an elbow that misses.
Perez tries for a takedown but Randall manages to get underhooks.
Perez tries to land knees in the clinch but Randall avoids the damage to the body.
Perez can't get the takedown.
Jason Randall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pascual Perez.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Randall is trying to trip Perez. He has hold of a leg but Perez is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Randall persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Perez had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Randall defends it easily.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Randall accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Perez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Randall can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Perez is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Perez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Randall gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Our spies down at at The Factory inform us that Perez has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?
Randall wants to control from the top but Perez keeps moving.
Perez preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Perez is on top in guard.


Randall is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Perez is aware though and is defending well.
Randall bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Perez's guard.


Perez is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Perez has an active guard here but Randall has managed to pass into half guard.
Randall slips a nice elbow through Perez's hands, connecting with Perez's forehead.
Randall seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Perez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Perez is trying to control but Randall manages to pass to mount!
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Perez really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Perez sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Randall is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Perez is just riding it out for now. Randall eventually gives up the hold.

Perez wants to improve his position but Randall is controlling well.
Randall works his way into side control.
Perez manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Randall looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Randall is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Randall trying to control the action but Perez is working from the bottom.
Perez trying to hold on to Randall's head to control him but Randall postures up.
Perez is pressing down on Randall's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Perez has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Randall can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Randall is striking from the bottom but Perez uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.

Randall makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jason Randall will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Perez darts in looking for a takedown but Randall gets double underhooks and turns Perez into the cage.
Perez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Randall paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Perez shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Randall sprawls well. Randall wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Perez gets slowly back to his feet.

It looked like Randall was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Perez has managed to clinch.
Perez is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Randall gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Jason Randall has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pascual Perez.
Randall lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Perez backwards.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Perez has picked Randall up - he's going for a ride! Perez dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Randall gets full guard.

Randall wants to sweep but no luck.
Perez passes Randall's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Randall is refusing to be controlled, as Perez sits in half guard.

Perez working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Randall is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Perez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Perez's back!

Randall looking to break Perez's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Perez remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Randall will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke!

Randall is trying to stick to Perez's back but Perez is turning into Randall. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Randall's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Perez.

Perez looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Randall is looking for a sweep. Perez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Randall is staying active underneath Perez, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Randall tries to kick Perez off but Perez keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Randall wants to improve his position but Perez is controlling well.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Perez lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Pascual Perez will probably get the nod - 10:9.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Perez is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Perez gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Perez gets through Randall's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.
Randall looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Perez misses with a hook from the clinch.
Perez can't find room to land a body shot as Randall controls the action.
Perez throws a punch but it's blocked by Randall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Randall blocks an uppercut.
Perez has Randall pressed against the cage.

Perez gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.

Randall looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Randall looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Randall seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.

Perez is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Randall has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Perez is looking to defend but Randall has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Perez! Randall pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Perez taps out and this one is all over!
