Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paul Maul (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Norman Nipplestein (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Norman Nipplestein!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Ackerman and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nipplestein walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Maul works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Maul scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Nipplestein doesn't seem bothered though.
Maul defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Nipplestein.

We've been told by Maul's head coaches at Midnight MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Nipplestein's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Maul connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Nipplestein scrambles back to his feet.

Nipplestein is working to tighten his grip on Maul's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Maul has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Nipplestein is really squeezing tight and eventually Maul passes out! Nipplestein breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

A relieved looking Norman Nipplestein thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
